A Parent's Perspective
What a complete blessing it has been for our family to be a part of the Shaffer community. As an elementary school teacher, myself, I have always had the highest expectations for the schools my children would eventually attend as their educational journey unfolded. Shaffer Elementary has been the most perfect fit for our family and for the values we hold near and dear as to what an elementary school should be. It starts with an incredible leader, our beloved Mr. Brasher. His authentic love for kids and passion for delivering an education of excellence is a complete gift. It then extends to the remarkable office staff that surrounds Mr. Brasher and serves as the nucleus of our school. They are the heart that supports the staff, parents and kids, and their care reaches out to an entire community. And finally it wraps up with a phenomenal staff that gives their heart and soul to our children. They work day in and day out to educate our children’s hearts, souls and minds - academically, socially and emotionally - to give them all that they need to be successful in this world. Shaffer is a school community of love, leadership and balance. It is a community of awesome expectations and great commitment to doing and being your best....all while having a great time doing it! Our beloved Shaffer is a school community of incredible people, incredible parent involvement, and incredible partnership.....all pieces working together for the greatness of our kids. Who could ask for more? We are truly blessed!
